Baby Sarah

Princess Sarah
Early one morning last week a woman walked down a path through a green rice field. Imagine her shock and amazement when she saw, lying beside the path a tiny baby. Looking around she saw no-one. Nobody knew who had left the baby there. Imagine the stab in her heart when she picked up that baby and saw that her left arm was just inches long and had no hand at all and the short right arm had only an index finger. She saw that this little one also had club feet.
The kind woman took the baby home and fed her and cared for her for three days. Then she brought this adorable child to a place where she knew people would care for her with love. She brought her to Jesus’ place, Place of Rescue.
Everyone, especially her care-giver already loves her and cares for her tenderly. She seems to be about two months old. It appears that her mother must have loved her because she is chubby and looks well cared for. It must have broken the mother’s heart to leave her after nursing her for two months. She obviously loved her otherwise she would have thrown her away where she could not be found.
We have named her Sarah, which means Princess.
Yesterday she was taken to the children’s hospital to get her immunization shots. It appears that she does not have a problem with her heart.
And so we pray and hope you will join us -
- My heart’s desire is that someone in Calgary would be called by God to adopt this child. We already know one family, The Seehawer’s in Calgary who have a little 6 yr. old boy, Sammy, with the same problems.
- May Sarah be greatly loved all the days of her life.
- May she learn to cope with her problems.
- May she remain healthy.
- May her birth mother be comforted and may she come to know Jesus.
- May the Lord send us many more children who need to be cared for here.
- May He call many to pray for us and support us.

What a blessing it is to be able to sponsor baby Sarah.
I would encourage anyone that is being moved by God’s calling about this baby not to ignore the call.
6 years ago at the age of 44 God spoke to my heart about Samuel. What seemed impossible by mans law was made possible by God’s law. Samuel has arms like Sarah and is missing a foot as well. You would be amazed at what he is able to do. He does not wear Prosthetics on his arms. He is able to write, dress himself, brush his teeth, feed himself, use the computer, bowling, basketball and if that’s not enough he also uses TWO WII controllers at the same time. If you are living in Calgary and God is speaking to you about Sarah. Our family will walk along side of you. We have been so blessed to have Samuel in our lives. Praise be to God.
Charlotte, You and Mark are such a gift from God for your wonderful little boy Samuel. I know he is also God’s good gift to you. I know you join us in prayer that someone like you will adopt Sarah and love and train her as you are doing with him.
May God continue to bless and strengthen and comfort you and speak His words of encouragement to you every day.
i love you.

Hi, my husband and I do not live in Calgary. We live in New Brunswick but I follow Paul Brandt on twitter and that is how we heard of this story. Would it be possible for someone to speak to us about Sarah? Our son was born three years ago when I was 43,we are all wondering about a younger sister for him. I know that unless the Lord builds the house the laborers labor in vain, so we don’t know the final answer in this request but I am prompted to ask the question.
We also have close friends living and working in Cambodia (Canadians as well) who could visit the orphanage on our behalf. Thank you.
